For me if the Catholic church tried to seperate me from my Espresso machine I would turn in my Non Practicing card on the spot.

The Pope of a long long time ago did try to ban coffee. It was too much of a stimulant you know.

Consider this: Initially it is an innocent morning cup of coffee. Soon it is two or three. Before long you are breaking into parking meters just to get enough to feed your habit. Listen to the Pope. Even if he doesn't know you exist and doesn't care, he has your best interests at heart. Besides the Catholic Church probably sold off their coffee investments and bought tea instead. Do you think the next mandate from the Pope will be something about drinking more tea? Just a thought.

That would be between me and God. My church does not have to know that I drink coffee. I had a girlfriend that wanted to join the Catholic church because they believed in drinking alcohol; I told her that that was a stupid reason to join a church. I'm Baptist, and I drink. Many of my church family drink. We just don't go to church and brag about it. Does that make us less of a Christian? I'll let the Lord decide.

I would. Can't remember the last time I went to church though.
Does that mean I can still have my coffee....Hmm!

Sadly, I am allergic to coffee now. But I prefer coffee friendly church.

Why? The Bible doesn't forbid you to drink coffee.

I don't even like coffee. Now if it was cappucino, that would be a problem.
