I'm finishing up a dress for my daughter. It's a fifties/eighties style and she loves it. Are any of you making anything for someone close to you?

I'm cross stitching a blanket for my 1 year old niece. I've been working on it since my sister was 6 months pregnant with her. :) lol. It's carebears themed, i'm trying to get it done by her 2nd b. day in December......TRYING being the keyword. lol.

Everyone is close to me so I'm out saving the world. Making minds over and warming hearts, I hope. I make pictures in the mind and create ideas, people say I'm not 'doing' anything. I like to bake especially with my 8 year old daughter. We are going to make a chocalate cake (the box kind) so she can help, too.
I'm also working on some freelance writing. Trying to find some interesting things to write about. I'm kind of in a slump. Any ideas?

My kids and I are going to a fair tonight. There are arts and crafts, games and giveaways. The side walk will be a huge chalk mural made by all the kids and the hot dogs, hamburgers, and soda is free. It is a great night. I love our mayor for applying for this grant every year.

I'll do to continue to sketching and designing of my clothes because I want to practice and thinking of the some ideas on the some magazines for what I did to design on it.
