I am writing a paper about interesting old person, would you like to share some the story of an interesting old person happens around you, maybe it is just a story of your grandma?

I have a nan (not blood, we call her nan respectfully) that used to be really really mean. I'm not even kiddin, if I saw her in the street and said hi nan, she would just walk right past me without so much as a glance. If she came to our house she would sit and cuss each and everyone of us. Even If we offered her a drink or food, she would reply coldly that she didn't want/need our food. You know even though nana's old...sometimes i really felt like sayin something mean, like 'doesn't anything good come out of your mouth?' but my mum was always so nice she reminded us to remain patient and that old age changes ones personality sometimes. So anyhow my family moved from our previous area, whilst we were away on holiday one time, she had a stroke and we heard that she was nearly going blind. We were not aware of this until we came back...fortunately by the time we got back she was much better and had recovered. When we went to visit her i was really hesitant as usual because of her remarks. However she was really different this time round. As I neared her bed to put down the fruits we brought her she garbbed my hand n pulled me over n gave my hand a kiss and then she indicated for me to come closer, i did, and she gave me a warm hug. I was just so shocked i didn't even hug her back haha...but as the days went by we all saw that she had genuinely changed. I guess her near death encounter altered her way of life. One day as I was leaving her house after a visit she said the most touching theing to me, she said 'thanks for not giving up on me' I replied in between gulps 'don't worry bout it'...
Now we're really close, she comes over regularly, we visit her too and she says the nicest things now haha.
