The war is being won. It can only be lost if we quit. As for the guns, they never really belonged to us anyway. The US doesn't manufacture AK-47's. The rifles were captured from the Iraqi Army when we invaded. They were stored in various places all around the country and were lost before we could even get to them. Here's how it goes down- A unit of 15-30 Marines enters a town or village. They encountered limited if any resistance, they find an abandoned Iraqi Army post. It has 1,000 AK-47's in the Armory. Those guns now belong to the US, but since we are fighting a war we cannot stay to catalog every piece of equipment that was captured in the first months of the war. The Marines move on and the Army takes over, but by then some Iraqi's have already looted the post and stole several guns. (that really belonged to the people anyway, they were paid for with their blood drawn by Hussein). There you go. lets quits blaming ourselves and look at the cold hard facts of war.

Gee, and all we did was invade their country, kill thousands, and occupy them for years without even being able (or willing?) to get the electricity back on.

Creep.
