Add more RAM memory (See if you can add up to 1-2GB)
Buy a faster processor (At least 2.4Ghz)
Increase HD space (At least 50GB, look for hard-disks with 10,000 rpm)
As far as the internet goes, try to get a broadband connection.

Clean your start up. Make sure you have only the required programs in the start up. These consume a lot of RAM space. Next option will be to upgrade ur RAM.

it depend on alot of things u must have good memory of ram like 512 and good processor and if u using internet much so u must have programe to delete everyday the temp auto from ur windows and maybe ur copy of windows is bad now and u need and fresh copy again to be faster and dont setup alot of programe on ur windows coz its make ur windows too slowly

First Disable unnecessary programs from starting when you start windows
Start>Run>type in MSCONFIG>Startup tab - uncheck any program you don't want to run when you start Windows

Free up space on your computer by deleting unnecessary files.You can set your computer to do this by itself (then giving you the option of what to delete) by going to the start,control panel,performance and maintenance and then free up space on your hard disk.

download adaware and run it every day
download spybot and run it every day
delete all unused files
