my aunt (who's an art professor) recently explained to me the use of the color yellow in fast food places such as mcdonalds. people think it's happy, but it's actually meant to make you feel uncomfortable because it is a "fast" and moving color. in other words, mcdonalds wants you in there and out of there quick to make space for more customers. they don't want you to linger there.
so what comes to mind is: fast / moving / energetic, although warm and happy also come to mind.

A big wall painted bright yellow. And a dog. Black, so it contrasts nicely.
