Considering most of you are american- I imagine you've had some exposure to it.

yes, I realise it differs throughout the country. However, I do believe there is a distinctive american accent, and your failure to acknowledge this shows how insular you are. :P It's sorta nasal and drawn out. Southerns are the exaggerated version of the american accent..tone it down, and you've got your regular american accent from my perspective. Do you ever get tempted to spell the world 'colour' with a U? Or maybe 'mum'?

Some people in other parts of the US can tell that i am from wisconsin by the way I talk. I never thought of us having an accent.

Which accent do you want to know about. We have several. Accents aren't really something people think about until they have heard one that is different. Then they just notice the difference in the other persons accent usually.

There are four major accents in the USA and two in Canada. There are many minor accents in both countries. There is no such thing as "the American accent".

what accent? apart from a southern one, or a new york one, i cant tell any accents in the voices.

Some of them are cute.
Some of them make you shiver.
