My partner has his shower before bed , grabs his towel and goes and when he is finished he comes out and gives me a kiss and says goodnight.
If he wants company in bed , he asks if I would like to shower with him , and vice versa.
Everyone has their own little routines.

Hitting the sack, hitting the hay, staring at the back of your eyelids, hitting the pillows, visiting the Sand Man, catching 40 winks, getting some shut-eye, sawing logs (if the person snores).
