please could you explain this to me.
it was my second pap in one year
the thing he stuck in me came out and there was blood on it.
is this sposed to happen?
i dont remember there being blood on my last one when i watch the doc??
also i had a bit of spotting afterwards. that i've heard is normal
i when right in the middle of my cycle
im on the pill
any insight?

i also had cramping after the pap. slight cramping

i mean im not on my period im at 15days after the start of my last period so im right in the middle of my pack.

It is normal to bleed a little after having a pap smear. Usually they will not give you a pap smear will you are on your cycle.How long have you had the doctor?

It could be that your cervix is irritated. When the cervix gets irritated it can mean infection. Sometimes a pap smear by coincidence will pick up infection. I've had it happen a couple times.

I would definitely get back in touch with the doctor to let him know that you are concerned about this bleeding issue and would like to talk to him some more about what this might mean.

Yes, some spotting for a couple days after the pap smear is normal because of the brush that is used to take the cells for analysis. The reason the spotting occurs is because the brush irritates the area.

reaction tot he pill, clots and irregular bleeding can occur when taking the pill!
