We all know within, that Robert Murat is innocent. It is up to the Authorities to either clear him or charge him, but I think he will be eliminated from the police enquiry.

No one knows what has happened in this case. There have been several instances of local children going missing over the years though, and they have never been found.
It is clear that the local police are hopelessly out of their depth, and do not have the tools, ability or desire to investigate this matter in a way which we in more enlightened countries would take for granted.
I think the most important aspect to bare in mind, and one which is usually overlooked by all media reports, is that there is an overwhelming desire on the part of the Police, government and locals in Portugal to find that a foreigner is responsible for the kidnapping, preferably a Brit.
From the very first day both the Police and locals have commented (without any evidence whatsoever and before any enquiries have been carried out) that they believed that someone from the UK had taken the child, or that the child had been taken out of the country immediately (with the presumption being that the kidnapper had gone back to their own country).
It is impossible to underestimate the importance of the tourist trade to somewhere like Portugal, and it is in their best interests to either A) arrest a foreigner or B) fail to find anyone, leave the case unsolved, but with the finger of suspicion pointing at a foreigner.
Try reviewing the police enquires to date with this in mind and see if some of their more "unusual" actions and comments make more sense!

Its been clear for a long time.If the police had any doubt in the first place they would have been up him with a microscope every day and his garden would have been dug up on day one.Its only just been released re blood has been found in the appartment and they have not profiled it yet to anyone yet stories are already surfacing it could be the little girls. The Portugese police said they could not release evidence to the general public so if they had this evidence at the beginning why were the Mcanns not advised to curb their money grubbing something they are still doing and take a back seat There are other ways of keeping the story high profile without jetting all over the world. The two things constant in this case is the Mcanns high profile money grubing and the media circus. If the media were so interested in keeping this case high profile they could have put a picture of the little girl on the front page of their papers every day with an note saying watch for this little girl.It wouldnt have cost the media anything as they are still putting full pages out on the story every day. This case STINKS of incompetance, cover up and circus from day one and its still going on.

Maddy- ("Oh expensive. This sounds like lynch mob video to me. standard individuals.") this is a slightly gross generalization on your section. What precisely do you be attentive to approximately is or isn't a 'standard American' ? that's as ridiculous as announcing : "continuously leaving infants below 4 by myself in an unlocked motel room jointly as on holiday...standard British." that does no longer basically be stereotypical, yet in addition misguided. back to the unique question: i think of that if Mr. Murat isn't charged with any crime (alongside with possession of youngster pornography), he could have each reason to take criminal action on the topic of particular accusations made approximately him in the media. Can anybody grant a appropriate source or hyperlink (ideally from the Portuguese media or Police) on the topic of what grew to become into or wasn't got here upon on Mr. Murat's computing gadget? the only ingredient that I truthfully have study is that his DNA grew to become into no longer a journey to any of the samples got here upon on the scene.

Is there any news update on the DNA tests taken from the glass that the child drank from... as sighted by the child analyst in (I think Belgium?)
She was quoted as being 100% positive it was Maddie!
I reserve my judgement on Robert Murat... on the grounds of what they found on his computer...
I am still concerned about the very strange way the parents are behaving... as if on an eternal holiday and fast becoming celebrities... I couldn't do it if my child was taken... and I'd be at home... holding onto my other children and never leaving them with anyone else...
It's very sad all round and something in the case isn't ringing right with me at all... from the outset.
So I reserve judgement all round... because my gut is uneasy all round on this one.

it is becoming more obvious that he is innocent - how horrible to have your home searched and dug up!!
i think he has held his head high though out - i also think, in years to come when and if we come to the conclusion of this case we will see his side of the story in hardback

If this man is innocent his name is still going to be associated with this forever.
I hope and pray he had nothing to do with the disapperance of little Maddy.
