I would say so. He could have given them away to families that could have used them as barn cats or house cats. He could have just let them live and fend for themselves. He could have dropped them off at the Humane Society or even a veterinary clinic. He could have gone to the root of the problem the parents and had them spayed and neutered. Like unwanted babies they deserve a chance at life with someone if not with you.
I have nothing against him taking a hammer and smashing a criminal to death. A murderer, rapist, pedophile, thief, robber, felon, abuser. He'd be doing society a hugh favour but not defenseless little kittens.
I can still remember the day in my Senior year when I was a summer student for the City Parks & Rec. Dept and was helping a full-timer who was cutting the lawns in one of the parks by the community centre. A small black kitten was walking towards the large lawn mower as if being drawn to the sound it was making or the vibration it was creating. I picked it up before it entered it blades and the full-timer stopped as he saw me reach down into the tall grass infront of him. The kitten it seemed had had its eyes poked out it was we found out used in some ritual in the centre of the wooded area of the park by wanna be devil worshipping idiots. Other items along with an Ocult shop business card were found there. The kitten I picked up and just held and gently rubbed its head, nose, and behind its ears. It still hadn't lost the abiltiy to purr after enduring what it had gone through. It was happy but what a site. The humane society came said that they would take it and that it would have to be put under. I wish I could have gotten my hands on the ones that did it. It was a fairly large park and the bodies may not have even been discovered. I eventually lost that thought or feeling but a story like this sure brings it back.

My stepmom wrapped abandoned kittens in a towel, then snapped their necks one by one when I was a kid. I didn't care for cats that much at the time, but witnessing something like that really left a lasting impression on me. Watching her kill innocent creatures with her bare hands, especially tiny defenseless ones, made me hate her even more than I already did. But one day, when I was now grown up, a tiny kitten approached me in my front yard. It was very sick & badly injured, possibly by dogs. It was so sick that it couldn't even open it's eyes, or smell the milk that I laid before it. I felt I had no choice but to end it's misery. It would surely have died a gruesome death from being mauled by dogs, or it would have made it's way into traffic... It just kept "meowing" as if asking me to help it somehow, and just continued to follow my voice. So, I did what I thought was humane, I wrapped the little guy in a towel, said a short prayer, and snapped it's neck as quickly as I could, then buried it in our garden... I haven't been the same since. I often wondered why that stray kitten chose me to decide it's fate. It's as though it knew I could end it's suffering somehow. I feel that I'm a stronger and more compassionate person now because of this incident. I think your dad was doing what he thought was right, but I think snapping their necks would have been less traumatic for both you & the kittens. Whether it is "wrong" or "justified" is left to the individual to decide... Jack
P.S. I was under the impression that your dad was doing this to abandoned kittens who would otherwise starve, now that you have added that he did this for pleasure, I must say your dad is sick. You may need to get him some professional help before his sickness evolves into something more horrible...

I beleive it's cruel! Any kind of baby or newborn is innocent no matter what species, if anyone does that or beleives they should for whatever reason they should've gotten their feamles tubes tied and if for some odd reason they couldn't afford it then there is no way in hell that they deserve to own or have an animal/being in their posession

no longer whilst you're a breeder. dissimilar breeders do this to eliminate the toddlers if the mum mated with an animal that wasn't papered or of a distinctive breed. canines and cats. i think of that's unhappy. we could continuously do an identical with......nevermind.....i could get reported for saying. lol

Of course it is!!! why do you ask? (If I was stuck with kittens, cats, dogs, etc., I'd give them to the shelter to adopt or give to a good family cause I'm not a lover for pets).

No sorry, there must be some other ways to get rid of unwanted kittens, maybe you should try giving them away.

Well I don't think this is wrong I KNOW it is WRONG. It is cruel, and if I ever caught/catch someone doing this I swear to God I'll most likely end up getting arrested.
