Oh, just a small pause, like a 'coma' where a speaker takes a pause, to look about and see if the listeners acknowledge it, and then to continue ..... with vigour (if claps are heard) or with winding up procedures(if not even nods are seen)!
Success is very relative, to the yard stick we use for comparison, to call it so!
Imagine, if we were all alone on an island, we just do what ever is needed in the situation, and we would see every moment that we are alive, to be a success!

Coming to realizations that wherever you are, no matter what you do, you have the breadth that comes with self-containment to embrace that state of being -- call it success if you will -- such that you may readily and constructively best put to use what you have in hand, be it clay or emptiness, and you can people those around you who would validate this to be what is apt and proper for not only yourself but the universe all around and about you -- and not something you contracted like some disease handed to you by the humdrum mass of convention who arrogate what should be named, "success."

Success is not found at the desk but while on the march, where "good" and "proper" is like so much jelly. Success is only enjoyed by those who are brave, bold, enterprising, and daring -- this Success, of which you ask, ultimately is not a what but a whom -- one 'who' chooses to confront the greatest of all tests, which is to temper his or her own lower nature.

My answer is...... making a goal. Being disciplined and working at that goal. Achieving that goal. But It does not stop there the success is sharing how you achieved that goal with some one who also is working to the same goal or similar goal. Any one can apply this to anything. Work, happiness, spirituality......on and on and on. So what ever anyone else says may be true, this is my description of success.

In my own point of view,
Succes is equal to Happiness, why?
because when your happy that can be a succes in a particular thing.
You may be successful financialy but not emotionaly.
Yes you are successful in your studies but not in your career.

Just being happy in something. It's a Success!
You finished your assignment in an early time, well that would be a success for yourself.

Having achieved something that is:
a) planned out by yourself in the first place
b) not inflicting regret upon yourself

For example, if you wanted to organise the Holocaust (like Hitler), and achieved it, it would fulfill criterion A, but B is a different story ...

A jealous peer group is the sure sign of success.... meaning it is highly relative and just a view rather than a fixed fact.

To know God is Nature is Substance is Eternal existence therein and our duty is to bring about the Kingdom of God on Earth and thereby herald in a classless world of beauty and freedom as necessity of our purpose to Love God by serving our neighbour as ourselves.

My definition of success is being happy with your life and what you have, following your dreams, and just living life to the fullest every day.

Doing/Getting what you want by achieving your goals which are different for everyone.
It takes talent/skill, self-belief, motivation and luck to have success but if everyone had a little of each they would get what they want if they truly want it.
