How much should a patient weigh to get the tummy tuck? They tell me that it's best if you loose weight and then get the flabby skin removed. Why can't they take the fat they are asking me to lose instead of just trimming the lose skin?

The reasonsome had to lose some weight before the surgery is to make sure there is enough skin there to put eveything back together again with out it being very tight. The amount of fat they take off is the amount of skin they need to close the site up

its not all liposuction and stuff. sometimes its better to lose weight, cause its more natural and healthy. and sometimes they cant do anything just like that, because there are health risks. in extreme cases people can even die because of tummy tuck (I'm sorry that I scared you). and there is also a thing when they wont do a tummy tuck because there is not a lot of skin. remember, the human skin regenerates. this means that the skin should shrink. if the skin wouldnt shrink, then every single person on this Planet that lost weight, would do a tummy tuck. maybe you dont have a lot of fat and skin on your belly, so only losing weight would be enough. talk to the surgeons again, if you still arent sure.

I wish the same ,but you see it is not that easy to do ,what you are asking for and it is dangerous too.
Now regarding the weight loss/ reduction ,if it has taken some time to gain weight ,it would take the same time to lose it after a heck a lot of exercise and dieting.
tummy tuck is not recommended ,until and unless ,it is the only solution ,and the result wouldn't matter to the particular person.Because it is too dangerous if not done properly.
Wishing you a loss of fat on your tummy and happy & healthy life ever after.

The answer here should come from a physician. Don't believe everything "they" (whoever they are) say.
