Hi,
My girlfriend has just flown out to the Dominican Republic. I want to text her sometimes rather than always ring. She has a Nokia 7373 which is a brand new phone and is on the orange network (pay as you go). Will she be able to get my text messages/calls? Do I need to put the Dominican Republic code infront?
Any help would be great, because I miss her.

The phone is capable of working there. However, it is a matter of where she will be in terms of local cell coverage.

Hope this helps!

Good Luck!

Sometimes you can contact your provider from abroad anyway. If she has email access, send her a message and ask her to try and contact Orange to get the phone activated abroad (and suggest she does it in advance next time)

she should have contacted her provider before leaving to find out. or you can try to contact the store or provider to inquire.
some calls and texts cost more out of area or out of country.

Depends on what service you go through. (Cingular, T-Mobile, Verizon, etc)
