i don't know about most but i don't pay much attention when they put stuff like that up their. i just read the question and disregard it although i assume most would not star their question because they were told to or asked to like they aren't smart enough to do that anyway. so i figure most would take offence to it. or they just don't care if they put it up their or not like me.

Not necessarily. I star for two reasons:
1. It's a good question.
2. When they actually beg for a star.

I only star when the question is intelligent and meaningful.
That leaves out about 90% of the questions.

Nah, I'm pretty generous with stars. If they want one that bad, I give it to them. It doesn't cost me a cent.
