My best friend since the fourth grade has turned into the worlds biggest...um...well u know. She went away for her first year of college and went completley crazy. All of her friends here at home are concerned. She is two different people...one here, and one there. We know this because one of our friends wet away to school with her, and sees what she does. We think she might have serious issues....self esteem issues maybe? SHe's had sex with over 40 guyz in the past two years, and 30 of them were just this past year alone. Should we talk to her? Or would that make it worse? Please help, i'm deserperate! I love her...but this has got to stop.

i use to be that way and even when i got a diseases that didnt stop me i treated it got rid of it and went in the game agian. people have thier own minds. they will do what they want until they are ready to stop. i mean i think people so go on the show "intervention" for sex problems. its so serious its crazy. she probably has self esteem issues and feels that the guys like her if she having sex with them. even if the next day they dont talk to her. you could probably point that out to her. a real friend doesnt hold back on the truth. you could also tell her about condyloma. alot of people do not know about this disease. but it comes from the man balls. so even if your protecting with a condom you can still get this. maybe set up a appointment to go with her at a doctor to hear about the effects of pre marital sex. if she were my friend i would just tell her " you think sex is great now but when you get herpes and you cant have sex anymore its on you because you cant cure that. over 80% of diseases come from college ruled areas.

I would definitely talk to her, that is a lot of people and a lot of risk-taking. It sounds like she is trying to fill an emotional need with sex, and that will always end in disaster. If she's in college then they should have counselors she can see through student health. She should also go to the doctor to get tested for STD's and maybe they can talk to her about using protection, which I would guess she doesn't always do.

There could be a lot of factors that are the cause of her actions. That might be something she'll have to grow out on her own. Maybe a hugely embarrassing moment or an STD will wake her up. You can try to involve her in some things where she doesn't have time for all that sex.

There are two types of herpes simplex virus: HSV-1 and HSV-2. Both virus types can cause sores around the mouth (herpes labialis) and on the genitals (genital herpes). Cold sores are caused by the herpes simplex virus (HSV).
Cold sores sometimes called fever blisters, are groups of small blisters on the lip and around the mouth. The skin around the blisters is often red, swollen, and sore. The blisters may break open, leak a clear fluid, and then scab over after a few days. They usually heal in several days to 2 weeks.
The herpes simplex virus usually enters the body through a break in the skin around or inside the mouth. It is usually spread when a person touches a cold sore or touches infected fluid—such as from sharing eating utensils or razors, kissing an infected person, or touching that person's saliva. A parent who has a cold sore often spreads the infection to his or her child in this way. Cold sores can also be spread to other areas of the body.

Well as long as she is using protection and being very careful, then I don't see anything wrong with her behavior. She's an adult so you can't tell her what to do, but you can say that you are concerned for her health and safety (if these are random guys she just meets in bars).

you are unnecessarily getting worried. a lot of young people let themselves GO when let loose, it may pass with time. however if your figures are correct than your friend may need clinical help.take her to a good psycic and let him/her fathom out the reason as also the cure, such cases are definitely curable given the right treatment

This will NOT stop unless she wants it to. Love her and let her be.
