Its obvious you care about this person, but like others have said, make sure you have not become overly needy. My husband and I have a saying, it may sound harsh but its how we base our marriage and believe it or not, it has worked for almost 8 years.

We base our relationship on this:
"I can cook
I can clean
I can work and pay my own bills,
I can do my own laundry.
I dont need you but for one thing and If i want it bad enough i can get it on the streets.
You are here because I want you, because I love you. I am here because I want you and I love you, not because I need you. "

It helps us to put our relationship in a better light. I love my husband but I dont need him to survive. Yes, without him it would be a sad and lonley life, but I would still live. We are together because we want each other, not because we need each other.

It means you are insecure, and insecure CAN eventually love, but not at the same time as being insecure - a MAJOR part of Love is TRUST. Insecure people have trust issues. Clinging to another person is NOT good, because you WILL smother them, and the "relationship" will fade away.

That is called "being needy". Very bad thing for love. The object of affection will desperately try to escape, sooner or later/.

In the beginning of a relationship we feel we can't get enough of someone. Later, if we continue that way, we have to be careful or we could be suffocating the relationship.
