so im 16 and ive been looking for a job ever since my birthday (april) and i just cant seem to get hired. im a smart kid and i look very presentable. it seems like i wouldnt have too much trouble but nothings coming! also i find out that one of my friends just got a job on his first day of looking! im just so upset at the whole situation. any tips? certain places i should go? anything can help at this point. thank you

When you turn in an application be sure to ask for the Manager. Give the Manager the application and ask if they have any openings. That is the best way...
As far as where to go.. I assume you need something that required evening and week-end shifts since you will be going to school during the day. My son got his first job at Sonic.. His second when he turned 16 at Wal-mart, he worked there a year... He was a cashier. You could try Subway, Pizza Hut, Pizza Inn, Any food Restaurant...

Approach the management with a positive attitude always be friendly and smile. Introduce yourself by name management is impressed with that. Don't give up it will happen. Ever thought of trying to get an apprenticeship.
