You probably dont want to hear this, but if she is only allowed to see her kids for only 3 hours a week, then there has to be a reason. If its so innocent and there is good reason why she is not allowed to see her kids more often then she would tell you now. If she has nothing to hide then there is no reason why she couldnt tell you the reason now. You have kids yourself, so you dont want to get so involved with this woman only to find out that she mistreated her own kids hence her only be allowed to see them for 3 hours. If these visitation rights were evaluated by a Judge then there are good reasons why she only see her kids for 3 hours. Trust is good, but trusting blindly, especially where kids are concerned is foolish. You need to find out the reasons why she cant see her kids more often and she needs to tell you now. If she refuses to tell you then I think that is a pretty strong indication that she is hiding something. I would also be speaking to the custodial parent to get their story.

I would be wary because it sounds like, whether she is guilty or not, that the court system in on her ex's side. Yes, in some states, Judges are still paid off.

Just from what little you have posted, it sounds as if she does have supervised visitation which means that sometime in her past as an mother, she has been charged with either neglect or some other allegation--could even be an false allegation but where kids are concerned, the judge will always do whatever is neccessary to protect the children.

You say you have 7 on, and 7 off with your own visitation which is great that your ex allows you to have this time because this is NOT standard visitation time either.

If you should continue this relationship, you might want to think about 1) the woman being in direct contact with your children --find out what the allegation was and 2) if her ex is an major a****, then he might try to drag you into court if you are around her kids.

That is something to think about.

it could be a number of reasons, possible if she works two jobs they dont give her much room for time with the kids..

She could of made a really big mistake along time ago as simple as agreeing to something that now she cant reverse with out a huge fight..

If shes very religious she could be spending a great deal of time with the church, and between church and work, she doesnt have much time to see the kids..

She could for some reason have a bad past.. say for example a history with drugs and although she may be clean now and turned to god, she may have to do supervised visitations with her kids..

It could be a million and one reasons, best not to speculate though and let ur mind go crazy and just let her tell u herself the reasons.. but until then id keep her away from ur 2 kids just incase.. until u find out .. because that is extremely odd for a parent to only see their kids for 3 hours a week.

She prob. has some mental illness, depression, etc... to the point where she can't be left with the kids more than 3 hours. Are these supervised visit? I don't think you should have gone behind her back searching on yahoo for an answer. She's prob. pyschotic.

Not really fair to ask that of us we do not know the story. It could be the judge doing it. I can tell you my ex gets no time with his child as he was abusive. But as for her every situation is different and I am sure she will tell you when she is ready.

It seems the father of the kids proved in court that she was unfit and a bad influence on them.

Her ex had a better lawyer who got him more visitation time that ensures less child support to be deducted from his wallet.

Maybe that is just what the judge gave her. Maybe you should wait until she is comfortable enough to tell you and not judge her.

That does not sound right; she might have done something wrong. Otherwise she would tell you now....She might be hiding something.
