I took my niece on a "quick" trip to walk some trails at a park & somehow we got really lost, sun went down, temperatures dropped, & the park closed......a couple hours later a ranger & a policeman found us. They were looking for us because we had left our car parked in a lot near the entrance. We were only lost for a few hours but, it seemed like a lifetime!!!

The scariest place that I have ever been lost would be the golden state of California..........after having lived in the deep south for so many years throughout the 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's and 90's. Know what I mean?

I had just finished playing the organ at a supper club for the dinner and late "sing-along" crowd and had a 15 mile drive home out in the country. I noted car lights following me and I wasn't lost but had to lose him so turned out the car lights, got on a gravel road, turned in to a field with a grain bin and hid behind it and lost him. For all I know he is still driving around that fool area-this was about 42 years ago and I was scared but I had the advantage of knowing the area even in the dead of night. Guardian angels keeping watch and guiding me as to what to do.

A small park in New York City.....at sundown. It was like something out of a movie: one minute there were people playing music, jugglers and couples everywhere. What seemed like only a few minutes later, my girlfriend and I looked up and saw drug dealers, hookers and other unsavory types. Strangest (and scariest) thing to ever happen to me. Luckily, we were able to make a quick exit.

My one month anniversary. On a subway in the city by myself for the first time. My ex walked of the subway and i was reading the sign and got left behind.... I cried my eyes out and he found me at the next stop, i didn't let go of him the whole night after that. Looking back now i think it was sooo funny, then I was petrified.

In a state park - for hours with no one in sight or hearing distance - just the snakes and frogs - getting dark, peed on my shoe (inexperienced in the fine art of outdoor toileting gymnastics) - haven't been back to one since.

In Los Angeles and getting off the wrong offramp in downtown. It was late, eerie and creepy. Cop cars racing down streets, people yelling at cars. I finally found the onramp back on the freeway and hauled butt back home.

i took a wrong turn off the interstate one time and it was one of those weird roads that you have to follow it around to get back on the interstate but i must have taken a wrong turn and at first it was cool cause they were building a replica of an old castle and then the road turned all country and in the middle of june it got foggy these guys were on the road by there car and they were trying to get me to stop but i wouldnt. i had to turn around to try to find my way back and the car was still there but i didnt see them and then i saw headlights and realized it was that car, and they kept following me. i turned off onto a dead end road on accident and they still followed me. when i tried to turn around they pulled in front of me. i slammed my car into reverse and took off into a ditch. got going again and thought i lost them but a little while later i saw headlights zoom behind me and it was them. this whole time my phone wasnt getting reception and just when i thought i was on my way i ended up at a lake. luckily there was a party that the cops were breaking up i guess and i stopped there and ran out to the cop cars the guys saw the cops and took off. when i told the police what happened they told me that somehow i had ended up 15 miles off the interstate.i dont know if they ever caught up witht the guys or not. i guess by taking all these roads and they directed me back to where i needed to go. I never will go that exit again
