Changing Hero's profession on Guild Wars?

My Koss is an assassin, but I wanna change it. How can I do this and will it do anything like limit the skills I can get?

Just change his profession the same way you change yours. From the "K" menu where you pick your skills. There's a drop down box in the upper right corner that allows you to choose a secondary profession.

Heroes know all the skills that are unlocked on your account. So if you change Koss to a W/E, he can now use all the elementalist skills you have unlocked. If later you decide to change him back to a W/A, he can still use the assassin skills.
