Anyone heard of the North American Union? Is this for real?

Is it also true that we are going to have a new currency called the amero? Is there really a super-highway being built through Texas to link Mexico with Canada? Can this be why the Canadian dollar is almost par with the American now? Finally, will this mean that America has finally achieved it's "manifest destiny"? Or will America not exist as we know it now? Why, if this is true, has it not been reported by the media?

The Presidents of the United States, Canada and Mexico met secretly in 2005 to get this project started. Just as the European Union, the Asian Union and the African Union are all in stages of development and implementation, the new North American Union will turn the U.S., Canada and Mexico into one nation with one currency: the Amero. The targeted completion date for this is 2010.
Bear in mind that President Bush did this without the approval of Congress or the knowledge of the American people. Imagine how this will simply dismiss the problems of illegal immigration. Consider how this will work toward the Bush family's long-range goal of world domination by a one-world government once all the various "unions" are finally united. Ask yourself why the borders are not protected and millions of Mexican can freely come in to this nation. Ask why border officers were arrested and thrown into to prison when their only crime was doing their job by stopping a Mexican drug trafficker? (who sued this government for damages!) If you knew the whole story you would be very sadden about the hypocrisy of this nation.

Can you really be unaware how unwelcome political union with the USA would be to most Canadians? They have a different concept of what life should be like, and would not voluntarily merge with a nation they consider barbaric.

Are we prepared to accept firearms restrictions and socialized medicine? The fact is that the Canadians would expect both. There will be no North American Union.

The NAU is a concept from the black box conspiracy theorists. There is no new highway being built through Texas. The Inter-state highway system has linked up to the Mexican highway system for a long time for commercial reasons.

NAFTA did lower some of the trade barriers between the U.S. and Canada and Mexico but there are no plans for a more formal structure like the European Union at the present time nor would there be the votes for such a proposal in any of the three capitals.
