I understand disagreeing with him on some or all issues, but what is this deal with this hatred for the President? its borderline psychotic.

The nation is in pretty good shape. There could be improvements but thats always true. So why do you hate him so darn much? It just doesnt make sense from an intellectual standpoint.

I don't hate George W. Bush! I'm so tired of people bashing Bush! Yes, he's done some things I'm strongly against, sure, then he's done alot of things that I'm for too. He's had so much dumped onto his shoulders since the day he became President, I give the man credit, I sure wouldn't want his job !!!! No wonder the man was drinking a year ago, I'd have been to if I was in charge of everything that's fell onto that man's lap.

I do not hate him? Who does? There are many opposed to him but I see no more venom in thier opposition than was cast (and still is 7 years later) at Clinton.
As for the country being in good shape - how so? Unemployment is higher than when cons were dragging Clinton over the coals, poverty is up, growth down , the government was not borrowing 100s of millions of dollars a year that our children will have to repay and most of all in 1999 we had not started a war that killed half a million people just to leave the survivors in a state of lawlessness recruiting support for those we pretend to oppose. I would say the country was in a lot better shape back then.
Certainly the opposition to Bush seems a lot more valid that the bile with which Hillary is commonly addressed ; conspiracy theory death lists, accusations of fraud, describing her - ludicrously - as a communist and attacking her because of her husband's infidelities.

Wow! Where do I start? The biggest thing first of all is that he both started and further escalated a war that we didn't need nor need to get involved in. Second, his civil rights record and his outstanding support of the Defense of Marriage Act shows he has no care for people of the LGBT community. If I'm correct, Bush does support reforming our health care system in order to make it "affordable" but of course not by getting rid of the monopoly of the health care insurance corporations so we'll see how good that plan works. Most importantly, Bush's violation and lack of respect for international law is the reason we are are hated by just about every country now! At least Bill Clinton went out of his way to make good relationships with other countries; the Bush Administration doesn't even talk to countries that don't share their ideals. What a great foreign policy! It's been working really well hasn't it! Lastly, Bush upon inauguration placed his hand under the Bible to defend the Constitution but he minus well have just pledged under the Constitution to defend the Bible because the way he deals with the Constitution when it gets in his way is by simply pretending it doesn't exist. Enough reasons for you?!?!

Have you been out in the real world lately? Go out and take a look around at some price tags and you might see why. I read someones' answer about $3 per gallon gas...where? I need to move there! Everything has went up. I've got a baby that just turned one at the end of july. I watched his formula go up on an almost weekly basis. Same with the diapers too. Now he's on regular milk. Guess what. Went up to almost $6 here. Building materials have gone up. Parts have gone up. Almost all groceries have gone up. It's just plain ridiculous. And why did EVERYTHING go up? All because of OIL. You have to have oil to make gas and diesel. Diesel fuels the trucks that deliver products to the stores and the price goes up and boom, products go up. Everyone's having to hike up their prices to make any money. It all goes back to Bush and his big war over oil. I also have many friends in active duty in the war (I was in ROTC, so most of my friends joined the military before 9-11) and I have lost some of my friends. I have the greatest respect for the brave men and woment that protect and serve our country. I have no respect for the man that sent them over there to die for nothing more than revenge for his father and to take control of another county for its' oil.
I'm not borderline psychotic for disliking the way things are. I am opinionated just like everyone else on the planet. I'm not trying to offend anyone by my point of view and apologize if I do. But I will not sit by and not be heard when I think something is wrong. I wish one voice really did make a difference. If we don't use our rights, we may just lose them.

Also, I would like to know where the person below me gets gas and milk. Gas hasn't been $2.55 per gallon in almost a year here. And for this comment: By the way, where does ervin_parker shop for milk?? I see it at only $1.99-$3.59 per gallon. Milk is really almost $6 per gallon. I should know, I buy a gallon every other day. I have a 1year old and a 4year old and they and their dad all love milk. And for your information, i am a smart shopper. I look in the grocery store adds and any other add that comes along before I buy grocery items and yesterday 1 gallon of milk was $5.79 and it'll probably go up again soon. It was $4.50 a gallon 3 weeks ago.

I'm just so tired of the Bush-bashing that goes on from day-to-day. I do not hate Bush, but I do disagree with him on certain things. I agree with you 100%. Just read what I am going to write in the next paragraph on the equivalent of how the far left-wing sees the poor, poor man.

The following is a quote from a local radio host here in Phoenix, taken slightly out of context because I can't remember the exact words. -- Just remember, folks - No tragedies ever happened before the War in Iraq started. For those of you just recently born, don't bother to go and look in our Nation's history for anything like that. it doesn't exist. 9/11 - what's that? Challenger Space Shuttle?? That never happened. So on and so forth. Anything that happened after the War in Iraq started can be blamed on either George Bush, Global Warming, or both.

I must say that the nation really is in pretty good shape. We brought the war to them before they brought it to us. The economy has never been better, reaching 14,000 points a couple weeks ago, and as far as gas prices go, I see it only at $2.55 right now. By the way, where does ervin_parker shop for milk?? I see it at only $1.99-$3.59 per gallon, depending on how high-end the store is from which you get it. Not to mention the fact that unemployment is reaching record low numbers.

I must say that I too wonder what makes you Democrats out there hate him so much. One thing that I can say is that if the hatred toward Bush gets much worse, either he did something really, really bad, or those who hate him have just let their frustrations get the better of them. Did I mention that Bush's new strategy for our "endless war" as another anwerer put it, is working, and we are winning Iraqi citizens over to our cause by the tens, if not hundreds daily, just because of the horrors that Al-Qaeda is placing upon their lives if they don't join the terrorists' cause? This is because they want to put an end to the madness of these terrorist groups just as much, if not more than we do. I hope that anyone reading this answer has enough sense to find that it is the truth.

God, Bless America!

P.S. - This is for logical373, What is wrong with working for Israel??? I see no problem in helping them to defend themselves. They are the only nation in that region that isn't Islamic. They could use some help defending themselves against an entire region. He is not a criminal, unlike Clinton, and how can he possibly be a terrorist?!?!?!?!?!?

Why does Bush hate America so much? That doesn't make much sense either. From an "intellectual standpoint", that is.

I don't hate Bush at ALL. I never voted for him. He's done all the things I predicted he would do (made a few $$$ doing it- & being right, in fact). So personally, he's lived down to every one of my expectations- so I can't complain. I think alot of people who DID vote for him- are alittle disappointed that he didn't quite live up to THEIR expectations... -And now that it's beginning to look like another Clinton is going to replace him- they blame BUSH- for what's really their OWN fault! And people get "Cranky"- when they find out they were Wrong. It just seems to put them in an ill humor... :)

If you think the nation is in good shape, you need to wake up and stop living in the past. From an "intellectual standpoint" you just don't know how much your country has changed!

You can be arrested now for peaceful protesting. You can be under surveilance at any time for no reason without a court order now. We are in Vietnam II. You were LIED to multiple times.

I WISH we were in good shape.

Ummm...he was governor of Texas, and cut education, healthcare and other funding to help low income families. Especially families living in South Texas, which oddly the majority did not vote for him. But anyway, you try living without utilities, like water and power for weeks because the governor would rather fund oil research projects than help the citizens, and maybe you would hate him too. And as a President, well, gas prices and having my husband in Iraq for a second time risking his life aren't my idea of a country being in good shape, and need I mention how he avoids talking about any and all scandals involving him and the White House? I could go on and on but the it won't change the fact that he's still the idiot in control.

The nation is in lousy shape! When was the last time you went grocery shopping? Love that $5.50 a gallon milk.

Much of the resentment towards Bush is directly related to utilizing religion as a facade to divert attention from his pro-business/tax breaks for the wealthy agenda.

The Iraq war is just gravy
