To elect a woman as president, just to have a woman as president, is foolish at best. When a female leader comes along, America will recognize her --- and it ain't Hillary!!

We DON"T have a woman President.
Women could not even vote for a President until August 18, 1920--not even 100 years ago. How do you think the women must have felt back then?

America is a very sexist country. Women are still minorities in a lot of circumstances (though they shouldn't be). And you even have our government messing around with their rights.
I, however, think that a woman would do a better job as President than a man. Think about it; for the past 200 plus years, this country has been ran by men. Look where we are today.

The U.S. is a land of macho men and it took us hundreds of years to give women the right to vote. Then they had to march down the street in huge droves to get better pay for doing the same jobs men are doing.
Then, too, take our religious folks. They are anxious to put Mama back in the kitchen, pregnant and preparing dinner for her brood, while hubby sits with the Elders, conferring about important subjects that he believes Mama is not intelligent enough to understand.
These chest-beating descendants of baboons have for centuries laid all responsibility in sexual matters on the female, accepting no responsibility themselves, and even now, ages later, it is the woman who is stigmatized, while the male is just "being manly."
Poor Hillary! I firmly believe the women of this country....and a few rare, sensitive, liberated men... will put her into office. Then the sex jokes and the ridicule will begin, flying their Stained Blue Dress flag, marching to the drumbeat of age-old prejudices, a million Cotton Mathers proclaiming a witch, to be burnt on the altar of Male Ego.

and we still don't have a female president...
nor are we likely too this time out.... hillery just is not the right candidate...too left leaning... far to liberal...
her big claim to fame? socialized medicine...and we know how well that works...*lol*
edit: women a minority in the US? no...we are 51%...and if you feel women are not equal...perhaps it is because you don't accept equality....
i am everybit as "equal" to a man in every department other than sheer strength..and the good lord built that difference into us...
i have been the breadwinner in our family...hub was the househusband...and i loved every minute of it...i never cleaned house, did laundry, cooked a meal or washed a dish unless i wanted too... and i was one of the highest paid people in my profession until i got a bit older and decided to grind it back a notch....
but...i worked like a man...i didn't expect time off for children.. my hub dealt with that... i didn't take pregnancy leaves... i chose to have only one child for a number of reasons... and when i went to work... i went to work and climbed the ladder... i didn't ask for special considerations because i was a woman .... i worked hard and was good at what i did...
we are equal...in every way... and i have a special distaste for women who whine because we are not "equal"...
