One thing you forgot to mention was how much music you listin to. This is a key factor into deciding what iPod is best for you. But I'll work with what you gave me =P.

iPod shuffle--Holds about 240 songs. The battery life is the best for any iPod which is 12 hours of music playback. It's very portable and easy to carry around. Only troble is it's nearly impossible to listin to the song you want when you want.

iPod nano--You can get a 2GB (500 songs),a 4GB (1,000 songs), or 8GB (2,000 songs) hard drive on a nano. On this you can chose any song when you want it, create playlists, and add photos. It doesn't say the exact time the battery lasts because it depends on it you just let it sit and play the songs or if you like to skip songs and play around on the display. But I'd say you get about 7 hours (maybe) of music playback)

iPod Video-- Has a 30GB (7,500 songs) or a 80GB (20,000 songs) hard drive. This one says it has 20 hours of audio playback or 6 1/2 hours of video playback. I have an iPod video and I don't think I delieve that it has 20 hours of audio playback, myabe 10 though. (It has everything the iPod nano has and more)

I'd say either get a shuffle or video iPod. A shuffle if you don't have too much music and if you don't care what song you listen to. An iPod video if you have a lot of music and like to chose what songs you want to listin to. Don't get a nano, they are a waste of your money. I think you should go big and get the iPod video, you won't be sorry. Hope that helps!

It really depends on how much music you have. I would recommend either a Nano or a regular-sized iPod. All of them can work with your car (though you will need a separate device as well) and have avaliable car chargers for those extra-long road trips.

The Nano comes in 2, 4, and 8 gigabyte sizes (which hold 500 songs, 1000 songs, and 2000 songs, respectively). They are pretty small, range in price from $150 to $250. They are very small, do not play videos, and have a battery life of up to 24 hours.

If you go for the full-sized iPod, there are two choices. One is the 30 gigabyte version, which holds 7500 songs, is still pretty darn small, does play videos, has a battery life of up to 14 hours. It costs $250.

Now, if that still doesn't hold enough, there is the 80 gigabyte version which holds 20,000 songs, is only slightly thicker then the 30 gigabyte version, plays video, and has a battery life of up to 20 hours. It costs $350.

Hope this helps!

the creative zen vision m, the samsung yp-t9 or the samsung yp-k3 would be great for you. if you go on long road trips the n you SHOULD be concerned with the battery life with an ipod but with one of these mp3 players you wont have to worry.(the samsung k3 doesn't have video though =[ )

you seem like a less hardcore buyer, you need something simple, sexy, and easy to use. I would definately recommend the new sansa player. It's 100 dollars on sale in the ads all the time.
