The fan turns on,the cap is new! The radiator must be plugged up? Could it be tha water pump...but if its that...wont it leak water some how...and it doesnt! I took out the thermostat...that wouldnt be the problem right...that just lets u know on the dash board that your car is over heating right? Can it be the timing? If its that... how would i know....would it make a noise or what? Also...theirs no water in the oil!

As to your details, you are wrong about not needing a thermostat, which is why your car is overheating. In order for your car to cool down and not overheat, the thermostat must be in the pipe going from the radiator to the water pump. The reason why your car needs a thermostat is because this is the cycle for the water/antifreeze mix: It's cooled down in the radiator. When the engine gets hot, the thermostat opens, pulling the cool water in to cool the engine. The thermostat then closes. Once that water gets too warm to cool the engine anymore, the thermost opens again, pulling more water into the engine to cool it down. The water that was in the engine then gets pumped to the heater core before it gets pumped back into the radiator to be cooled back down for recirculation.

Solution? Put a thermostat in to cool down and keep cool your car.

As most people have said, it's the A/C. The heat is very easy to make because the engine becomes very hot within a few minutes of starting the car. In fact most engines have an elaborate series of fans, radiators, and fluid filled pipes to keep the engine from overheating. So simply taking some of that heat that already exists and blowing it into the cabin is no big deal at all. The air conditioning is another story though. The A/C takes a significant amount of electric to run what is basically a small refrigeration unit. In turn more energy is taken to replace the electric that has been used, and that in turn leads to a lower fuel consumption. But at the end of the day the difference is hardly significant. Some people like to open windows, thinking they are saving on gas. But the reality is that by opening the windows they are significantly increasing the drag of the car, that costs gas. If you never switched on the fan, the A/C, the radio, or operated any electronic gadget in the car except the absolute essentials, you would save on gas. Would that saving be significant? Probably not. Would it be worth the sacrifice in comfort? Almost certainly not.

could have been your thermostat if you just took it out and did not put a new one in it a lot of the cars now a days have to have a thermostat put in to slow the flow of the water down or they will over heat ... now a easy way to tell if the radiator is part plugged up is to warm the engine up good shut the car off put your hand near the fin's of the radiator from top to bottom of it and see if they are all hot if half of the radiator is cooled it is plugged up if it is all hot it is not... if the water pump is bad 99% of the time it will leak... if you have a head gasket leaking a little it will make it over heat hope this helps

It could be that the radiator is plugged. The thermostat is what controls the temp. It keeps the water temp at a constant level by opening and closing. If it is bad and stays closed the car will overheat. If it stays open the car will run too cool. Taking it out will make the engine run too cool and throw off the computer. It could be the timing. If the timing is retarded too far it will run hot. It will not make a noise but it will not perform very well either.

try to start the engine and ram a littlebit (make sure when the temp is not so hot) open the radiator cap n check wheter there are circulation/flow of water. if theres no, its the water pump. is yes, get ur radiator reflush.

Thermostat could be faulty. Does the temperature gauge go down if you turn heat on??

your cat is stuck up the pipe maybe ?
does the water coolant circulate whith the rad. cap off ?
are you driving it with E-brake on ?
-finns in rad & air condensor clogged?
-thermostat correct temp or lower,stuck!?

Your thermastat is stuck, that would be the 1st thing i'd replace or take it out,it'll run cold but it's better then over heating, they're only $5.00.
