I ruin more shirts with grease (food) stains than I care to admit. Most of my shirts have at least one. What's your family secret? How do you get out Set-in-Stains? I don't want to resort to wearing a bib or eating at the dining room table like a civilized person! I like eating in front of the tv and in the car while I'm on the go.. I have more food stains on my clothes than my 10 month old and that's just sad. I would so appreciate any help! Thanks so much!

I do this too! I JUST found a remedy for set-in stains and grease spots and I absolutely love it. Pour dish soap directly onto the stain and then put some baking soda on top and form a paste with it. Rub it into the stain. Let it sit for 10 mins and then launder as usual. Your stain will be gone!

First of all: When you are in front of the TV or in the car, wear a bib (a small towel).
Second: Don't let your stains get set-in. Treat them promptly.
Third: Use a full strength regular detergent (like you use for washing dishes by hand.). This will remove most fresh stains.
Fourth: Try using Shout. (Name is sort of stupid, but it works pretty well.)
Fifth: Never dry your clothes in a dryer if the stains have not been removed. That really sets them well.
