i keep getting different answers. who is right?

No. The only record of the actual text message is what is on your phone. They will be able to tell you that a text message was sent or received but not what was within the message. Hope this helps.

RE: Does Verizon have records of textual content messages? I heard my mother say she used to be gonna go to the verizon retailer tomorrow and have them give her a copy of the texts i send and recieve. I delete them more often than not from my cell. I consider the account is beneath her identify, does any individual understand if they preserve textual content messages on file? If so how long and can she...

yes . last two months you can get on line at my account with verizon.
old messages are $5 each to have printed out

yes they are kept in files for homeland security reasons. They can not be obtained by the general public, buy they can be given out under subpoena with the proper probable cause affadavit.

I wouldn't think so..that would be FAR too many to keep track of with all of their customers. But, you could always call and ask them.

they can only keep track of the time and the number of the txtxs sent and recieved
