1, work at a hospital doing housekeeping, with excellent hours, wonderful benefits, every other weekend off and even paid vacation, less money, shorter distance travel,
OR
2, work in a restaraunt, more money, longer travel time, working weekends, no paid vacation, so so benefits?

Reason for asking this, many people belittle housekeeping jobs and think it is the bottom of the pits job.

Want your opinion. I have a friend that can't decide on what to do, so I figured I'd ask to see what YOU think of those two positions.

Remeber this is for a friend.
I am trying to convince her to go with the hospital.
She needs to spend more time with her family.

I don't care what others think about my job, As long as I am happy and can pay my bills and put a little away. I used to make a lot of money in the restaurant business, but took a major pay cut to work in a job where I can spend more time with my family and do rewarding work.

If I were you I would go with the one that is going to make you happier..Money helps and so do benefits but if your not happy at you job than really whats the point...go for the one you think you can deal with...stress is not good for you and a job you don't like will just add stress to your whole life!!

gosh, you cannot diminish one persons contribution. that's not right. everyone counts. it takes everyone, equally important, to make things run smoothly. there is nothing wrong with a housekeeping job. its honest work. i have done such work and i am not ashamed to say so.

besides, sounds to me like the housekeeping job is the better of the two! come on, open your eyes!

just my humble opinion.
