Loving your enemies is not easy, but I tend to look at it this way. You learn the most from them, the things that your friends are afraid to tell you. I've been able to shape and changed things in my life for the better thanks to my enemies. It makes me stronger, I try to think of it like that.

As much as the Bible says turn the other cheek.
I have come to facing reality.
Turning the other cheek only will allow the enemy to rip off the rest of your face.
You have to be smart about this area of "eneminess"

I use to wallow along in life and not pay attention to those that were certainly watching me and I had no interest in them at all.
But these folks didn't have my interest at heart.

I don't hate my enemy. I don't want to waste the time.
So I just detest them to no end and leave it at that.
This way I will leave no doubt of wanting to love people that equal a rancid disease.

That old saying "Keep your friends close and your enemies closer"................yeah right!....So they can jab the knife in your back at ease!..........Now on the other hand, I smile and allow my enemy the freedom to act themselves, so if necessary, I will be able to deflect the knife jab when it comes and it will come.......you can bet your last dollar on that!

"Love your Enemies?"
Love? Isn't that a bit Masochistic?

You don't love them. You tolerate them. Immensely!
So you won't kill them.

People that I hear on TV say "Oh I have forgiven him for murdering my entire family and the family dog and cat"
You have to survive and making amends what you really feel about your enemy is better therapy.....Just don't make it your every waken moment of your life.
This is when they steal your soul.

I always look at it like this. The only person I hurt by hating is me, because the person I hate isn't spending any time worrying about it. It's easier to just put them out of your mind, and if possible, out of your life. That doesn't equal love, but it's better than killing them!
