when the gas price goes up, everyone is freaking out and you hear about it from everyone.... (ex.Can you believe gas went up AGAIN? What are we ever going to do?) but when the gas price goes down, you never hear about it...(ex.Can you believe the drop in the price of gas? Maybe things are going to be ok!) It just goes to show how ppl focus more on the negative aspects of life than on the positve. I know, I'm one of those ppl. I always complain when the gas goes up because it's so darn sickening dragging out a $50 bill and hoping it don't take the whole thing. A couple of yrs ago, most gas stations wouldn't even take a $50 bill because it would take all of thier change and they wouldn't have it for other customers to make their change. I've noticed this week a drop in the price of gas (by about 20cents) and I was wondering why ppl don't ever talk about that. Sure, I know ppl are relieved but let's hear about it!!

I'll never be thankful for anything a gas company does. The prices all go up at once, yet they say they don't co-operate. They go up before a long weekend, and they say it's a coincidence. They use any excuse to jack up the price, and if it goes down, it never goes down to where it was before. I should thank them for a dollar a liter? Or that we have to pay more, being an oil exporting country, than one that buys our oil? Any corporation, which is treated as a "person" under the law, would be called psychotic by any shrink.

Because the prices go up a lot then down a little. It's a slow increase and people know the trends.Within a few years the norm for gas prices will be $3.50

But you are right, people do like to complain. I guess it makes them feel better

Because we know that even though they drop the prices temporarily they are as certain as rain gonna raise them again and probably higher than before they lowered them in the first place!

Um, I hear about it.
But then, of course, it goes up again.
Why do they have to be so high in Illinois?
