An ex of mine was so controlling he got jelous when I waited on my customers. I was a waitress at the time and he stayed out front of the building all night. If I talked to the table I was waiting on, I was cheating on him. If I smiled at other people I was cheating on him. He would hide in trees and watch me from across the street. He threatened co workers. He would not let me pee in private. Any conversation was one way. If I disagreed with him in anyway, He would hit me. If I said "no", he would beat me. Men whom do not let you be you, men who control every movement you make. IE- the way you dress, what you eat, what you believe in, what you like to watch on t.v., right down to how you do your job or how long you spend at your mothers house, are dangerous. If they are to controlling. chances are you are with someone that could hurt you. I know it's hard, but find help. Get out of the relationship before he kills you. There's no stopping a man like that except a police force and some distance. The most important thing to know is that, HE DOESN'T LOVE YOU. OR HE WOULDN'T BE SO OBSESIVE. Please don't stay with him. You are strong and can make it on your oiwn. Find a real friend to help you through this hard time, and know you are not alone.

yeah!!! it's called an abusive relationship and although i'm only 17, since i wasn't finding any of the guys at my school attractive, i found this 23 year old guy in spain and had an online relationship with him for a few months -- he was controlling -- AND HE WAS ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE WORLD!!! i was planning on him coming out to visit me this next summer, but i started ignoring him after he started getting me into thinking that i "didn't pay enough attention" to him and that i was seeing other guys etc.
i haven't spoken with him for over 2 months i think^^

23 years ago I was kidnapped, taken across 5 state lines and my ransom was to get married. I divorced him after 6 years and he didn't leave. Now I am so glad I have him and we are true companions as we don't live as a married couple but as roommates. It is so nice to not be alone and we find comfort in one another. One adventure after another with him. He is 14 years my junior. Never a dull moment. Mmm

Yeah. My first hubby was that way and then one day I just had enough, kicked him out and got a divorce. I married the love of a lifetime after that and we're getting ready to celebrate 11 years in a few days!
