Anyone know? I want some for my Bettas, and that is the only pet store around. I just don't want to go in there and feel like an idiot. Thanks!

They sell frozen ones and freeze dried ones and they sell the eggs and hatchery kits. Brine shrimp is something you hatch at home. You can either buy the full hatchery kit and follow the instructions included or just buy the eggs and some aquarium salt and set up your own hatchery. Here's some instructions on how to set up your own hatchery:

It's really very very easy. If I can hatch brine shrimp (also called "Sea Monkeys"!!!) then anyone can! LOL

i've got by no potential seen stay brine shrimp at a Petco or Petsmart. i've got continuously had to bypass to a smaller mom and dad sort of puppy save to get it. i might attempt calling around first to make beneficial a place has it. many times it is somewhat inexpensive, can not bear in recommendations the right cost, replaced right into some million.00 or so for a internet finished/scoop.

Around where I live they don't - hardly any of the pet stores do, because it's easy enough to hatch them yourselves.

If you have an adult betta, you really don't need to use live shrimp. There are frozen ones that are available, and these are far more convenient (take it from me, I've raise enough live ones for feeding fry and larval salamaders, both of which need to have motion to trigger a feeding response). With the frozen, you just pop a cube out of a package, thaw it in a little tank water, and feed the fish. What you don't use from a cube can be refrigerated.

Dont do the same as me when I use to feed my fish on brine shrimp then suddenly realised some of my fish were sick. Live brine shrimp are sold in bags of salt water and when tipped in a freshwater tank will make betas sick or die.

at my local petsmart, they sell this hatch your own brine shrimp kit for like 8 dollars I believe. It is in the fish food aisile, or near the water conditioner aisle. it has eggs that you can hatch in like half a day. I might give it a try.

The one by my house sells brine shrimp kits to hatch them, i think that is a little to small since they are newly hatched ones, but you can gorw them into adults.

I'm not sure about adult brine shrimp you should try asking it doesn't hurt. I ask all sorts of simple questions that i think are dumb :]

I don't think they do, but it depends on where you live. I know that they sell frozen ones and freeze - dried ones.
