I'm not sure about unique names of the really unique sort - some people hates it when their names are too weird, gets mocked, etc. A good way is giving variation on relatively common names, such as "Helen" changed to "Halynn" or "Aaron" changed to "Erin/Ahren" (though Ahren is usually a last name :/ ). You can also switch syllables/alphabets around or spell a name backwards, for example "Harry" to "Irrah" or "Ryah", or "Linda" to "Adnille" or "Dalyn/Daelin".
Good luck!

Alena (uh-lee-nuh) I like that one.
When I write I like to use names that describe my characters. To do this, think of a word that best describes your character, then go to http://www.babynamesworld.com and click on "Advanced Search." Then type in the word you chose in the box labled "And the meaning contains the word:"
Here are some words I typed in and the unusual names that came up:
Excited: Uddipti
Noble: Addi
Faint: Honoka
Water:Yara
It also tells you the origin of each name so you can make that fit with your character as well.

Girls:
Xiola (Z-eye-o-lah)
Jael
Maeryl (merril)
Just got a phone call so cutting this short - sorry!
Keep in mind that a glorious advantage you have as a writer is that you never have to pronounce the names. The sound of them doesn't matter (as long as they are believable)...so to take a name like "Chris" and turn it into "Khris" (bad example, but you see what I mean) is nothing.
Good luck
