Do guys sometimes tell girls they dont like them to keep from hurting them? I have a friend who is going through alot of depression. He feels like no one cares of loves him. He says he is not good enought for any girl. I told him how i felt and he never said anything back to it. He just kind of stopped talking to me for a while. Could he be running from his feelings or what?

Most definitely! I remember doing that once to a girl because I didn't want to keep leading her on, which is, unfortunately, one of my bad habits. I told her I didn't like her, and she took it hard. Good thing I never saw her again!

Yeah, sounds like he's fishing for something to me. Probably attention, and it probably doesn't even really matter what kind at this point. I can remember kinda being like that when a girl I really liked starting dating this jackass. Leave him alone for awhile, whatever it is he might be avoiding you because he doesn't want to talk about his feelings for you or anyone else at the moment. Or it's also possible he just wants you to chase him. It's hard to say, he'll get over it though (or he'll kill himself). Depression is just part of life sometimes.

In his life the parents never love him , he has no idea of parental love, and has no idea how to receive love no-re how to love back, depression is like a deep empty hole right in the middle of as , like a blind horse, it will take a lots of patients and a lots of caring , that's a job for an Angel to do. good luck.

yeah in some situations a guy may say he doesnt like a girl to keep from hurting her in the long run but this guy sounds like he either genuinely doesnt like you, hes trying to play your emotions to get you, or hes emo and has his own problems to work out

Why would you like someone who is obviously week minded.... what do you like getting into relationships that have no future, beause whenever you date someone who is codependant, battling depression, and all around just doesn't know who they are,. It will NEVER work....

You'll drive yourself nuts trying to read people's minds.
When you get a chance, tell him that it concerned you when he stopped talking to you after what you said.
He may not be able to verbalize his feelings as well as you at his age.

maybe he is not in to you... that's a regular on some of us guys ... girl tells us their feelings. and we are totally not in to the girl ... so in order to avoid her asking again... some of us just stay away

just ask him about his feelings, if he doesnt want to tell you, thennnnnnnnnn i really dont know. but if he does tell you, you will know how to solve the problem. trust me
