You can suck it in, but not enough to make your stomach like it was before you were pregnant. And at first, your body hasn't changed enough to where you couldn't. Most women start showing around 3-4 months, but some sooner and some later.

Here are some reported symptoms of pregnancy that I got from a website, and listed with it are other reasons why your body might be acting that way.

Implantation Bleeding:
Implantation bleeding can be one of the earliest pregnancy symptoms. About 6-12 days after conception, the embryo implants itself into the uterine wall. Some women will experience spotting as well as some cramping.

Other Explanations: Actual menstruation, altered menstruation, changes in birth control pill, infection, or abrasion from intercourse.

Delay/Difference in Menstruation:
A delayed or missed menstruation is the most common pregnancy symptom leading a woman to test for pregnancy. When you become pregnant, your next period should be missed. Many women can bleed while they are pregnant, but typically the bleeding will be shorter or lighter than a normal period.

Other Explanations: Excessive weight gain/loss, fatigue, hormonal problems, tension, stress, ceasing to take the birth control pill, or breast-feeding.

Swollen/Tender Breasts:
Swollen or tender breasts is a pregnancy symptom which may begin as early as 1-2 weeks after conception. Women may notice changes in their breasts; they may be tender to the touch, sore, or swollen.

Other Explanations: Hormonal imbalance, birth control pills, impending menstruation (PMS) can also cause your breasts to be swollen or tender.

Fatigue/Tiredness:
Feeling fatigued or more tired is a pregnancy symptom which can also start as early as the first week after conception.

Other Explanations: Stress, exhaustion, depression, common cold or flu, or other illnesses can also leave you feeling tired or fatigued.

Nausea/Morning Sickness:
This well-known pregnancy symptom will often show up between 2-8 weeks after conception. Some women are fortunate to not deal with morning sickness at all, while others will feel nauseous throughout most of their pregnancy.

Other Explanations: Food poisoning, stress, or other stomach disorders can also cause you to feel queasy.

Backaches:
Lower backaches may be a symptom that occurs early in pregnancy; however, it is common to experience a dull backache throughout an entire pregnancy.

Other Explanations: Impending menstruation, stress, other back problems, and physical or mental strains.

Headaches:
The sudden rise of hormones in your body can cause you to have headaches early in pregnancy.

Other Explanations: Dehydration, caffeine withdrawal, impending menstruation, eye strain, or other ailments can be the source of frequent or chronic headaches.

Frequent Urination:
Around 6-8 weeks after conception, you may find yourself making a few extra trips to the bathroom.

Other Explanations: Urinary tract infection, diabetes, increasing liquid intake, or taking excessive diuretics.

Darkening of Areolas:
If you are pregnant, the skin around your nipples may get darker.

Other Explanations: Hormonal imbalance unrelated to pregnancy or may be a leftover effect from a previous pregnancy.

Food Cravings:
While you may not have a strong desire to eat pickles and ice cream, many women will feel cravings for certain foods when they are pregnant. This can last throughout your entire pregnancy.

Other Explanations: Poor diet, lack of a certain nutrient, stress, depression, or impending menstruation.

Being able to suck in your stomach depends on the strength of your ab muscles and that's it. In early pregnancy the baby is so small that he or she is not going to take up enough space to keep you from sucking in your stomach.

There's no set time that a woman will start showing. Some show very early and others not until the third trimester. I'm eight months along and some people are just noticing now, which leaves me wondering...

...But I wouldn't wait until you're showing to confirm the pregnancy. If you are, you need prenatal care now. Why not buy a $1 pregnancy test from a chain like Dollar Tree? They sometimes have them behind the counter if they're not on the shelf, and they've been fairly accurate for me. There's also links to pregnancy centers on the page of symptoms...at the bottom.

Society has definitely changed since I was that young! I was like you, wasn't even allowed to have a boyfriend at 14 (thank God)! I couldn't go places with my friends with no adult supervision until I was 15 or 16, and definitely still had a curfew. I think adults now somehow think it won't happen to their kids, or they are just too busy to notice what's going on. Alot of kids/tweens have no parent home after school and are free to do what they want. I also think that when young girls do get pregnant, that they really need to put the baby up for adoption, so that mature responsible couples can adopt them into a loving environment. I know a couple of women that started having kids at 16, and had like 4 or 5, and now their lives are pretty messy.

you can't suck in a pregnant tummy, theres no where for it to go!!! You start showing around 20 weeks, 4-5 months. Some women show later, some earlier, but 20 weeks is average.

If you think you are pregnant take a test, see a dr, and get some help. If you are not pregnant then get on the pill and take care of your self.

being that maybe your still early in your pregnancy yes you can suck in your stomach, but its kinda hard to do if your already showing and your belly is hard. signs are, missed period, breast tenderness, nausea, vomitting. Depending on the size of your body it can vary on when you start showing. with my first i didnt start showing until i was around 6 months. i have known some that will show around 3-4 months and that is because they are tiny. good luck. hope this helps.

yes you can still suck it in without it hurting or feeling any different than before. i am currently 9 months prego and i could still suck it in until i was about 7 months without feeling uncomfortable. i would say you could feel it when your about 4 or 5 months along. that's when it started to feel uncomfortable to me. but yea you can still suck it in.
