What major would I use to be a government official?

Would it be Political Sciences or a different sort of Political Sciences to be a Congressman or any government official.

political science, and then a law degree. :)

Any degree + A Law Degree; 99% of Senators are Lawyers.

Take lots of public speaking classes. It doesn't matter how many degrees you have if you can't get the public to vote for you. I don't know if Jesse Ventura even has a degree.
