Hi, Im latin american and I've never been to USA. I think you have a nice country but here on Y!A I've seen so much hate, so much racism, and I wonder if this is how you really are? I mean, I've been reading these questions and answers and Im in shock, because i my here people are just people, not a color. Im not saying that my country is better than yours, it's just that I didnt expect this. I have read about 30 questions and 27 of them were racist again black people. Is this what you normally ask in this category? What is wrong with you? is this how you are? I hope this is just about some kids with too much free time on their hands and a very small brain!

You need to remember that a great majority of American's are not on Y-Answers. I'm sure you've browsed questions and can see that there are certain people on here who come out with racist questions. Don't get our country wrong because your image of America is based on your browsing Y-Answers. There are millions of Americans who don't play that racist game and there are many places which are ethnically mixed which are not racist communities.
Sorry that it is only the poor sad individuals who standout but overall America isn't this (Y-Answers) racist.

Also, America is big with many large metropolitan areas and they are not all made up of the same racial demographics. The racial demographics here in Albuquerque is mixed pretty good - Natives, Caucasians, Hispanics, African Americans, then lower numers for other races. But other cities have different numbers, more than likely the Natives will be minimal and the others higher.

Well Milla, The problem with Yahoo Answers is that most of the people on this chat engine (not all, but most) are kids.And kids let their emotions and feelings spill out too easily. Especially on Answers where there isn't a real live person setting across the table from them talking back like a parent. To answer you're question about America, I would have to say this. We as a whole are one of the most friendly people in the world, or I might say among the most. And we don't isolate ourselves from the rest of the world. We loan and give billions spelled with a B to other countries. Some we get back, some we don't. I lived in East Texas and a lot of peopls there were black and I had the privelage to have many blacks as my friends. If one doesn't like blacks they shouldn't live there.I now live in East Texas. If one dosn't like spanish people they shouldn't live here because they consist of app. 50% of the population. Personally I do like spanish people and everyone here get along just fine. This country once belonged to Mexico. Why shouldn't they be here? I was born in Texas and should have the same right to be here also.Just remember some of what you read on Answers is small minded people's brains rattling out of their head's onto their key boards.They don't represent the majority of us. If you realy want to know about us you need to read news papers or watch American t.v. That's really a window into our world. Or better yet, come see us in person. I extend you a formal welcome to the states. But use a visa. Our border situation is a mess right now. And if you would like to stay, welcome. But go thru proper channels. I would be glad to have you as a neighbor. Yours truely, a REAL american citizen

No we aren't like that, alot of it is kids with too much time and very little supervision. Yes we do have racists in this country and its a shame but it really is a worldwide problem. For the most part Americans are compassionate and kind. America is the melting pot of the world, we have a little bit of every part of the world here and unfortunately with that comes ignorance.

Don't worry, you're right, most of the racist up here are kids with too much time on their hands and just want a reaction out of people. Most of us Americans aren't that way. Just a few primitive people choose to live in the past--no more racists here than anywhere else.

I feel the same way as you. I've lived in the USA all my life and I've seen more racism today on yahoo answers than I have seen in my entire lifetime! I too am in shock.

Unfortunately anywhere you go their will always be those that have nothing better to do than spread hate, and are all to eager for the opportunity! it stems from fear, and misunderstanding. they tend to look for the small differences to feel superior, to feel important, and to justify themselves as being right. They use hate to cover their own fear, rather than face their fears that we are all one, and that we are not so different after all. No we are not all that way... But unfortunately the ones that are, tend to be the ones that you run into first.

Don't worry. Its just that its happy hour in meth country. There is just nothing for them to do out there in KKK-land right now. There is an over-representation of racists on this site, and on the internet in general (They can't recruit in public).

No we're not all like this but you'll always come across people who express themselfs in a negative way and yes it gives a bad name for us but to answer you're question no we're not.
