no but a friend of mine's brother woke up after a party with a bunch of naked girls around him so he went to get tested and apparently they had to put something in his penis to do the test

Yeah I got tested for HIV and other STDs after I had been with this one guy once who had been known for having slept with several different girls over time. I did it just for my own piece of mind. Everything was negative. I really don't know how they do STD testing on a guy. Sorry I can't help you out there. But do go and get it done. It's worth the piece of mind, as well as making sure you're not inadvertently passing something on to someone else.

I get one every year with my annual pap smear. Might as well, right?
They're not that intimidating for guys- if you have no symptoms you just pee in a cup. If you want an HIV test (or some herpes tests) there's finger prick or a cheek swab, but they don't usually need to draw blood.
If you have any sores or bumps on your genitals, they may take a small scraping to test for herpes.
Do get checked out- it's not a scary procedure, and many STIs don't show any symptoms in men. You wouldn't want to be unknowingly passing a potentially life changing infection to your partners.

I got one because they told me the government is willing to pay for my appointment if I submit to a STD screening. I peed in a cup, thats it. The results have always been negative.

When I started having sex, when I stayed with my first partner I visited the gynecologist often for birth control pills, and they give you the full check-up and if you ask they give you the HIV test too. I don't know what they do to guys though.

It's just a regular blood test......with results that can be life-threatening.
I had one taken for an insurance policy.
