My friend and I were planning on going to an Eisley show at Schubas Tavern in Chicago tomorrow night but a friend of ours told us that we'd be fine going down a few hours early and getting tickets there as they are playing 2 shows (one underage and one 21+). Turns out the all ages show did sell out. Are ticket scalpers the best bet? Or has anyone had luck just talking to the right people? Or some other way besides trying to sneak in.

I gave two tickets to a Grateful Dead concert away to a couple of cool people right in front of the gate...just minutes before a show in St. Louis. They had no money, they couldnt get in, they needed a miracle. I gave them both tickets that I had as extra's. Since your not going to see the Dead, I dont know what to tell you. I would just go to the venue and start asking around. If you have money, then a ticket service would be another way to get in. They usually advertise in the newspaper. Buying from a scalper at the venue is very risky....because of counterfeiting.

try and find some scalpers at the show that are selling some tickets or post it on somethig saying that youll pay for em.

Well I would have your friend (accomplice) distract the person and then you simply sneak in. Whoiever said scalpers thats sick and wrong I think my answer is very simple.

Most grupies think there is a way by giving certain favors.
Don't count on it. The guys on the stage already have thier date picked out before you even get there.

Why don't you try to get past the security guards to sneak in. Get a fake ID card with another name.
