If And When The Merger It Should Be Around 2008. I don't think they will merge, many senitors are against the merger and that plays a big part on what the FCC says about it. I'm hoping it won't happen, but thats just me!

No definite timetable on that yet. There still is a legal battle of sorts with the FCC since the NAB (National Association of Broadcasters)...a group representing terrestrial radio interests are trying to block this merger from happening since both XM and Sirius are in the "red"; feeling a block of the merger could put satellite radio out of business.
If all goes through though, the merger should happen sometime in 2008.

IF the two satellite giants are allowed to merge we will know by the end of 2007. I am 95% sure they will in fact merge and I am hard pressed to see any reason why they should/would not.
