I have a mac and i have tried microsoft messanger for mac but it isnt very good as it has no handwriting tool and i have tried mercury messanger but i find it is difficult to navigate through and isnt easy to use so does anyone know of any handwriting addons for the microsoft messanger or know of any other one that would work?

I thought that the Mac OS X has the Ink handwriting recognition system, but that it only works if you have a Wacom brand graphics tablet to write on. I'm not 100% on that.

As far as good Instant Messaging software goes, I prefer using Adium X for IMing. This is a free open source program. It simultaneously connects to all of your different IM servers (Y!M, MSN, AIM, Jabber, etc., etc.) so you won't miss any of your friends. It won't offer video and voice conferencing since that's mostly proprietary.

Tell you what...I'm using a Mac as we speak. I have Yahoo! messenger on it and I also use a program named Fire. It's a great messenger service that combines MSN, Yahoo!, AOL and several other services into one so you can chat with all your friends no matter what messenger they use.
