It varies due to differences in grass growth thru the year. When actively growing it's about every 4th or 5th day (15,000 sf too with a walk behind, not a riding) and during summer when slower growth, about every 8th day. Never mown when wet but will mow anytime 9 a.m to 8 p.m. (if still light) whenever we can set aside about 2 hours.

A day when the grass is about 4" high, with the mower set to 3". Preferably a day when there's not a heavy dew or after it dries. Not before 10 a.m. or after 6 p.m. - have pity on your neighbors who might like to sleep in a little or enjoy a quiet evening!
