Don't just go after the big fish, go after them all. If it is illegal for one it is illegal for all. When it comes to hiring illegals, all who partake should be fined and if it persists, loose their business.

All companies that hire illegals should be punished. The difficult part is the actual enforcement of the penalties. Further more the punishments themselves are slaps on the wrists. Thus until the consequnces are made to be significant then the illegal immigrant issue will not go away.

Anyone who hires someone illegal should be punished. I would be more inclined to go after a corporate farm hiring hundreds of them than some old farmer hiring one to help him out though.

This should not even be a question or an option.
America prides itself on being a country of law, where justice is blind and everyone is equal under the law.
Either this premise is practiced, or we become a nation of hypocrites.
It is illegal to hire an illegal immigrant - no gray area or ambiguity there.

it's always difficult to make adjustments to a commonly accepted way of doing business. "illegal" workers was hardly an issue of major concern until special interests took notice and made it so.

to police this "problem" will require careful consideration of the possible effects any "punishment" may cause. for example the "family farmer" receiving the same degree of "punishment" as...say, a corporation, like ADM.

"one size fits all" cannot apply with any degree of justice.

No. If you can catch the illegals, fine, send them back. But most people are ignorant to how dependent the bread basket of the US is on cheap labor. If illegal immigrants won't work the relatively poorly paid agricultural jobs, will you and your children be happy to toil away on the farms?

Illegal means against the law. If we don't punish for one law, does that make it OK to break all laws? If it's illegal, I say they should be punished.

To the fullest extent of the law we should punish them. They are breaking federal laws by hiring them, not to mention giving others reason to break the laws.

If they have no jobs to come to, will they still come illegally??? Doubtful. . .

If they knowingly hire the illegals, then they should be held accountable to the law.
