Are you sure you had one in? You may have taken it out before your bath. You should be able to retrieve it with your finger or at least feel it with your finger if you have one in. The vaginal canal is not that long. Try sitting on the edge of a chair with your legs spread and see if you can find it or at least feel it in there. Do not go to the Emergency room as this is not an emergency. Call your physician to be examined and have the tampon extracted if needed. They will fit you in because it is important to remove it in a timely manner so you are not put at risk for developing Toxic Shock Syndrome. Good luck!

Are you sure it didn't fall out when you went to the washroom.
Get a mirror and check or just put your finger up and feel around. Nothing wrong with it. If you can't touch yourself then who is. Haven't you ever put your finger up your nose if it was itchy !! Just do it , it isn't good to leave a tampon in there.

Seriously. You need to go to the ER to get it removed if you cannot find it. Why? Toxic Shock Syndrome can be deadly. Please don't be embarrassed about this. Your situation, if it really, is happening could be life threatening. Go to ER NOW!!! I know your scared and embarrassed. The ER doctors are professionals that will assist you in removing the tampon. They will think nothing of it, but trying to save your life.

go to your doctor immediately.. If you know that you did not take your tampon out then the chance of it being pushed further up is scary but it happens all the time. I've done, a few of friends have done this but no worries you can fish it out, no pun intended, but if not, go to your OBGYN or the emergency room. Better have embrassment then a serious infection.

try and take the tampon out and i guess all that water must have soaked the sting you know what happens to paper in water its turns to mush maybe your string was to soaked and fell off use a mirror and take it out as soon as possible you don't wanna catch TSS infection or go to the emergency room its dangerous to keep a tampon inside for even a whole day
best wishes to you

ARe you sure you did not remove the tampon already?
Absoloutley sure???
If you know you did not remove it, don't panic.
It is still in there.
Just get on toilet & push like having a hard bowel movement.
It should move on down, so you can reach it.
You must get it out... TSS is rare, but that is exactly why it happens.
The ER doctors have seen it all, if all else fails.

Carly, if you can't feel it, it is possible it may have fallen out. It is very doubtful the string pulled out. Try squatting on the floor or lying on your back and see if you can feel it. Try not to panic and relax when you are trying to feel for it. If you can feel it cannot remove it, you will need to go have it removed. It will be okay, as I have worked in the ER and they are trained and prepared to help any way they can.

Oh my, my string has broke off before but I was able to pull it out. If you can't get it out you'll really have to get your mom or someone to try to, if not go to the ER. If it's in there too long TSS or just any infection can occur and you'll smell no doubt. But try relaxing and laying on your back with your legs bent up and get it out.

If you don't find it, it will rot and smell and could cause a bad bacterial infection. Get to digging more for it. Don't worry about the situation. It's not the first time it's happened to a woman. Don't be shy about the search either.

Call the Doctors office, or ask your mom what to do, it shouldn't stay in there it could be really harmful to you. All I can tell you is try to uhhh...poop. That is how women are told to push when they give birth, to bear down like they are pooping, this might help the tampon ease it's way back down your vagina.
