Depends on how bad it is and how long you have had it. Appendicitis and gall bladder problems are fairly painful and need attention right away. You could have a pulled muscle in which case will hurt but not as bad. I would suggest if it's really bad, and I mean you're doubled up and unable to function...go to the doctor. But if we're talking just soreness then I would just wait a few days to see what it does.

Hi
Well,it's hard to say, with out knowing more,it could be gall stones, liver problems or even appendicitis, but most likely it's IBS (irritable bowel syndrome) it can cause a sharp pain just under the right rib cage,if you look it up, you can find what to do about it.it can come & go, for years!!If possible see your Doctor,to know for sure!!..
Hope that helped!!

I get pains like that all the time and it radiates into my chest and sometimes in my arms - I have been ignoring this type of pain for years and nothing happened to me yet - so don't worry about it. If you cannot live with it, try Fish oils and garlic.

Does it hurt more right after you eat, but feel better when you haven't eaten? If so, it could be gallstones.
