Carrie Underwood's, "Jesus, take the wheel" does not relate to her life per se but conveys a good message.
So are Martina McBride's, "Anyway" and "I hope you dance" by Leann Womack.
Try also, "My Wish" by The Rascal Flatts another song that carries an inspirational message.

If you want songs about life there are plenty of them on country radio, but if you want some heartfelt lyrics, listen to some Hank Sr. He lived it and it comes out in his songs, For instance, Your Cheatin Heart, the line You'll try and try to sleep but sleep won't come the whole night through because your cheatin heart will tell on you. It really speaks of how life really is. He has alot of them like that, he paints mental pictures when he sings.

Tracy Lawerence's new one "Find Out Who Your Friends Are" I dont know if he wrote it, but it certainly is fitting for him. He has had a rough time and it is great to see him back. He even has his friend Tim McGraw and Kenny Chesney help sing it, so the title is all that more true!
