I want to see everything at Disney World, and everything at Universal studios. By "not rushing", I just mean sleeping in occasionally and leaving when I'm tired - not pushing myself.

For the most part that would give you plenty of time. That would even allow for you to go at a slower pace in the parks, not worry as much about riding every ride in one day, etc.

It would also give you a good amount of time to see things outside of the parks and experience more of what they offer. For example, if it interests you, you could check out the resorts each offers. Another great thing to do when you have the extra time is enjoy the great dining that both offers. When you are trying to squeeze everything into a week vacation, it isn't always possible to have the nicer meals as they can take too much time. You can also check out some shows, i.e. Cirque, as well as the water parks, Downtown Disney and City Walk.

With this much time it would probably even allow for you to do some tours, depending on how much you do outside of the parks. I feel that after you have really experienced the parks, the tours are really a great next step. You probably wont' have enough time to do all the extra tours and things, but you could get at least one or two in.

Six weeks should allow plenty of time for what you are looking for. To see Disney at a comfortable speed, I would say 2 weeks is a good amount of time. You won't be able to see every square inch of the parks and everything else, but you would get to most of it. For universal and Islands of Adventure, about one week. So, if you are really just wanting to ride the rides in the parks, see the shows, etc. and are not as conscerned with seeing everything else, I think 3 weeks would cover you. But, if you want to see most everything in and out of the parks and possibly even go to places outside of the theme parks, I think you would need the six weeks.

Hope this helps!

Six weeks is definately enough. Like others have said, that may even be too long. There are quite a few parks to choose from, however. You have Animal Kingdom, Magic Kingdom, Island of Adventure, between Disney World and Universal Studios, there are many choices. There are also the water parks like Blizzard Beach which can take up a day. Also, as said earlier, there's the Boardwalk and Downtown Disney. The other, larger parks might take a couple days. Plus, if you find that you have extra time, you can always go to nearby towns to other theme parks like Valdosta, Georgia for Wild Adventures or Tampa, Florida for Busch Gardens. Disney and Universal both have awesomely themed resorts too, which are tons of fun in themselves. Check out the Hard Rock resort!

Six weeks is a long time to be anywhere besides home. You only need about 9-10 days at Disney World. Universal probably a week if that. When we go to Disney World we usually go for 9 days and get to do everything we want to do and we aren't rushing. Good luck and have fun.

Well, at Universal if you go on a week day it's not that busy and you could probably see everything in two days without rushing, I've been 3 times and seen and done everythinG twice. Now Disney World. First of all nothing special, but that will take way longer to see it all. It's always busy, tourists, but if you do go on a week day not in the summer it should be a little better. The line are 3 hours long and each park will probably take two days to really see. The main park three. But, 6 weeks yeh you should see it all. lol.

I've Done all the parks at Disney and Universal, it depends on if you are going peak or off peak.

Universal Studios: Peak 2 days off peak 1 day
Island of Adventure: Peak 2 days off peak 1 day

Magic Kingdom - you always need at least 2 days
Disney Studios - Peak 2 days off peak 1 day
Epcot: Peak - at least 2 days - off peak 1
Animal Kingdom: 1 day

You'd see more than enough, I was there for two weeks. We had two days left over to travel up to Destin and go to the beach for those days. We went to all the parks at Disney and the Hollywood Adventures at Universal Studios [the one with the hulk and spiderman ride, etc]

Wow...6 weeks is a REALLY long time to spend at theme parks. I've never been to Disney world (are you sure you mean disney WORLD and not disneyLAND? because universal studios is near disneyland) but I know that you could do disneyland in two or three days, and universal studios in maybe two days. If I were you I'd plan on spending 10 days on the vacation, tops. Besides, wouldn't you get tired of walking around a crowded amusment park, paying $5 for water for OVER A MONTH???? I could never do it.

6 weeks............ Wow
Have you seriously thought about how much that will cost??? I love Orlando and all the theme parks, but I am not sure if I would want to pay that much money so I could take my time, If I wanted a vacation to take my time I would head to the beach
