depends on who 'they' are.......if you are talking about a breakup, then I think being afraid to take another breath without them is a bit extreme, relationships come and go at the blink of an eye and no one person is worth all the pain. However, if you are talking about the death of a loved one, then that is a bit more difficult. It's always scary doing the firsts without these people in our lives anymore, but it's inevitable. They would want us to go on and so we should. Take that first breath, and then the next, and so on and so forth, and it gets better with time. At least that's how I see it.

You must be going through a hard time. Don't feel like life is over, though.There is a saying " When one door closes, another opens up. But sometimes we stare so long at the closed door, that we fail to see the one that has opened for us." Sometimes we must learn to move on. We all go through breakups, and losing people that we really care about. Just remember that people come and go throughout our lives. It may feel like they have taken a peice of who you are and left with it, but that is not true. You are still you, and you are still alive. You don't have to EVER forget them ,and what they brought into your life. But remember that your life is still meant to be lived, even though they are gone.
