Do you think I have a higher chance of becoming an actor if I audition along with a friend?

Me and my best friend think we could make it big time if we auditioned together. Is our dream a blur?

What do you mean by audition together? Just go to the audition together or only take parts where both of you will be cast? If it's the latter, I would advise against it. If a CD (casting director) likes one of you, but not the other, yet you say you're "together", than neither of you will get a part! You want to make it as easy as possible for the casting team to want to cast you and coming in as part of a package will definitely not help. You want them to focus on YOU and how perferct YOU are for the part. You and you friend should audition seperately and if you both get cast - great!
If you talking about just going together, than definitely! Auditions can be nerve wracking, especially if you have to wait for a while, so it's nice if you have someone there there for support and distraction.

This is a bad idea. You have no concept of the number of broken friendships, marriages and other relationships happen because people audition together and then only one of them gets selected. Whew! What a problem. Acting is too competitive to share the audition with anyone you have a relationship with. You gotta go it alone. You cant afford to turn down a role because the other person didn't get selected.

Well, that is a chance you'll have to take if you want. If one does bad, the people watching you might not take you at all. If one does good and they like it, you might be split or they might take both of you. It's all in chances. This coming school year, i'll be auditioning with a friend for our school musical. I kind of wish I didn't because it seems like she uses me and stuff. When we practice together, she throws my tune off and I sound off. Also, she's out of tune, and she doesn't take it seriously no matter how hard I try to teach and encourage her. So it all depends with who you are with and the choice you make. Good luck.
